How Our Campaign Works:
This year, our fundraising goal is $15,000—an amount that will allow us to continue providing safe shelter, medical care, and essential resources to the animals who rely on us every single day.
To make this campaign even more meaningful, we’re adding a little holiday joy:
🎁 For every $1,000 raised, we will provide a Christmas gift to every dog and cat currently in our care.
That means the more we raise, the more we can spoil the pets who may be spending their holiday season waiting for their forever homes.
But we’re not stopping at our goal.
If we are fortunate enough to exceed $15,000, every additional dollar will be put toward much-needed improvements at the shelter, including:
New playground and enrichment equipment for our dogs and cats
Trees planted for shade during the hot summer months
Outdoor heating elements to keep our volunteers comfortable during cold winter nights
These upgrades will greatly enhance the quality of life for both the animals and the dedicated volunteers who care for them.

Blue River Pet Rescue is incredibly proud to share that 2025 has been our most successful year yet, including doubling the number of dog adoptions we’ve ever had in a single year. 🎉 Behind every adoption was a story, a journey, and a heart that refused to give up—and because of that unwavering dedication, more than 100 dogs and over 30 cats are now safe, loved, and finally home.
Looking ahead to 2026, we want to help even more dogs and cats find their forever families—but we can’t do it alone. With the exciting growth in adoptions came a significant increase in operating costs. Veterinary care, food, supplies, utilities, transportation, and facility needs have all risen sharply. This year alone, we have invested more than $75,000 in operational expenses and medical bills to ensure every animal in our care is safe, healthy, and loved.
Blue River Pet Rescue operates 100% on donations, volunteers, and community support. We do not receive government funding—we rely on generous individuals who believe in giving homeless animals a second chance. As we prepare for the year ahead, we must raise vital funds not only for the pets currently in our care, but for the many who will arrive in 2026. With a goal of helping over 175 animals next year, your support truly determines how many lives we can save.
